It’s been said that within days after the first 1903 Model A rolled off the assembly line and was delivered, customers started wrenching and modifying the car to fit their purposes. The age of customization was born with the Model A, and ever since, just about every make and model has been tweaked, refined and modified to fit a purpose or a personality.

If you’re looking for a Concours Condition or Show Car Condition restoration, stop right there. Judged and juried restorations need to be as original as the day the car rolled off the line of the assembly plant, there’s not a lot of flexibility here. Sorry, that’s just the way it is.
